My great grandfather - Charles Triffitt Wilkinson - was born in Long Sutton in 1839. He and his brothers and his own nuclear family left being agricultural labourers and migrated to Rotherham to all become coal miners between 1871 and 1881. I wondered if this was a trend? Were other families leaving also? Does anyone have any connections to Wilkinsons or Bretts or Triffitts? Thanks drbrynholmes@gmail.com
